Audition Call

Seattle Jewish Chorale is a non-discriminatory organization that welcomes qualified singers of all backgrounds, beliefs & orientations.

Seattle Jewish Chorale Audition Announcement:
September 3rd, 2025
7:30 - 9pm
Downtown Seattle (Location disclosed on communication)

People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to audition for Seattle Jewish Chorale's 2025/2026 season! We welcome singers of any voice part, though we are particularly excited about tenors and basses.
At an audition, you will be invited to sing “literally anything” (an operatic aria, happy birthday, etc), and then the music director will work through some vocal exercises with you. It should take about 15 minutes.

We primarily sing in Hebrew, English, Yiddish, and Ladino. We celebrate the rich musical heritage across the vastness of Jewish culture. And we love doing it.

SJC is a community chorus, and we are happy to have people of all musical levels audition. Learning tracks will be available for many of our pieces, and we do monthly sectionals to help solidify parts.

Please enjoy this excerpt from our recent Chanukah concert, Borukh Ate, Zingt der Tate

As of 6/1/2025, the chorale is transitioning to “mask welcome”, meaning masks are welcomed, but not required. We will have air purifier(s) at rehearsal, and will be enforcing our sick policy. This policy is subject to change depending on board and Chorale decision.
